Eyebrow tattooing is a two-part procedure that involves your initial appointment where we determine your shape and build density with a follow-up appointment 6-8 weeks later. Typically, powder brows last up to 3 years, with annual refresh appointments required every two years or so. Different factors affect how long your cosmetic tattoo will last, such as skin type, sun exposure, the skincare products you use, the colour pigment we use, and how you take care of your cosmetic tattoo. It is recommended that clients come in for an annual touch-up to refresh their brows.

How to prepare for your brow tattoo?

What happens at your appointment?
At your first appointment, we will discuss your desired colour, shape and technique . Once we both agree on the colour and shape, Alesia will then take your before photos.
She will then clean your brow area and begin the drawing process. The drawing process can take up to 1 hour. Once you are 100% happy with the shape, Alesia will then mix up the colour/s chosen and begin the tattooing process. The tattooing process can take up to 2.5 hours. Alesia will then run you through the aftercare instructions and take your after photos. Once your tattoo has completely healed (4-6 weeks later), you will come in for your second session. Brow tattooing is a 2 step process. This session is where we see how well the pigment has held and we can slightly adjust colour and shape if needed. This session is a total of 2.5 hours.

Aftercare
Please take a break from any exfoliating anti aging/ anti acne products (retinoids, glycolics, vitamin c, AHA/ BHA, enzyme washes, serums, etc) near and around your brows area at least 2 weeks prior to your session and 2 weeks after for best healed results.
Any treatments such as lasers, peels, waxing, botox, tinting, etc should also take place 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after your appt.

For the first hour after the procedure dab the treated area every 15 min with the sterile water wipe provided.

Brows should be DRY HEALED for the next 7 days!

No sweat or moisture | No sun exposure | No exercising | No picking or scratching |.

From day 2 apply provided oil 1-2 times a day.

Healing Guide

Day 1
The colour will look bold and warm.

Day 2-4
Your brows will look bold and feel tender.

Day 5
Your brows will start to feel dry, itchy and may start peeling.

Day 6-14
Your brows will be in the peeling stage.

Day 14
Peeling should almost be complete. The top layer of your skin has healed. Your skin is still in the healing stage, therefore you will not see true colour until week 6.

Day 45
Your skin has completely healed.

FAQ
- Protect your tattoo with sunscreen whilst in the sun.
- Avoid using chemical exfoliants on your brows
- Avoid laser treatments near your brow area.
- Additional brow products may still be required post procedure to achieve your desired look. Eyebrow tattooing should look natural and soft as we are only enhancing the shape of your natural eyebrows, it may not replace brow products.

A fixed deposit of $100 is required to secure your first booking. The remaining fee is paid on the day of your appointment via cash, mastercard or visa.
Brow tattooing generally last between 1-4 years however, traces of pigment may always remain in the skin 12-24 month refreshers are recommended to maintain the colour and shape of your brow tattoo.
The pain level for brow tattooing varies between clients. Brow tattooing can be a little uncomfortable for those who are more sensitive. The majority of our clients have said the pain level is 1/10.
Brow tattooing can take 1-3 sittings to complete. Please do not judge your healing journey to a friend’s as everyone heals differently. The amount of sittings needed will depend on the individual.
Unfortunately the studio is not child friendly. Due to occupational health and safety requirements, only the technician and client can be in the room at all times. Please attend your appointment alone.
- Taking blood thinning medication
- Skin condition/s eg. Psoriasis/Eczema on the area being tattooed
- Hepatitis/HIV/STD
- Sun damaged skin
- Heart conditions/using heart medications
- Diabetes, please seek advice from your GP
- Severe allergies/allergies to hair dye/ink
- Pregnant/breast feeding/planning pregnancy

- If you have cancer. you must be 6 months past your last chemotherapy, please seek advice from your GP
- Tendency to keloid
- Accutane/strong acne medication must wait 1 year before tattooing
- Retinol and vitamin A must discontinue 1 month prior
- Antibiotics must discontinue 1 months prior
